Sonic Drilling

Achieve the best possible results. Sonic drilling will significantly lower your project costs.

The benefits are simple.

For the right project, it's faster, safer, produces less waste and provides far superior quality information.

It reduces risk of project failure, with the ability to drill through difficult formations with ease.

Sonic drilling obtains a relatively undisturbed core sample, through most unconsolidated formations.

Sonic drilling is perfect for projects where:

  • difficult sub-surface conditions exist

  • the highest quality results are required

  • waste management issues exists (thereby reducing the expensive disposal of contaminated waste)

  • more efficient well performance is required

  • introduction of drilling fluids is prohibited

We are Australia's leading Sonic Drilling provider.

We believe we are the leader in Sonic drilling services. Although the technology is still new to Australia, we adopted the technology when there was only one other competitor in the Australian market. We now believe we have the most experienced Sonic drilling team in Australia. Because the technology is so different to conventional methods other drilling companies cannot provide the service as they lack the experience and knowledge, working with such specialised equipment.

We started with a Terra Sonic International 150 Compact Crawler Drilling Rig. The safest, smallest and most powerful for its size. And the first of its kind in the world.

Our Sonic drilling rigs are generally smaller, but they allow us to access difficult locations. They are safer and have the same performance capability as larger Sonic drilling rigs.

We use automated rod handling systems, eliminating the need to man handle pipe.

Our Sonic drilling rigs can drill up to 200m+ and a maximum borehole diameter of 300mm (12 inch).
